Screens on the surface pro are glued on. And removals are not pretty or have 100% success rate. there is a fail rate due to many factor.
different types of glues cause different tensions.
small nicks or cracks will be disasters
flex cable positioning
shields.
human error
all these factors can contribute to a broken screen upon removal. That said, we have a 80% success rate.

TRD has asked me to pay for return, which is confusing because the intitial estimate was $189-$300 repair. I’m waiting on more than just “pay the return so we can send it back” A bit confusing. I asked TDR to keep looking but I have not recieved any communicaiton in 3 days. Hopefully TDR digging in.
